"Canta de Galo" is a project 100% Portuguese, born from the taste for searching and mixing traditional materials, giving them a new life, contemporaneity and dimension.
The "Canta de Galo" cushions, which are also already panels, are the result of the manual joining of pure wool yarn, from "our" sheep, with Burel, a fabric used by shepherds in Serra da Estrela. Being the Burel a fabric of excellence as to its resistance and versatility can be easily cut with various configurations, as was the case of trams, red riding hood / wolf / forest, Barcelos rooster, wasps and by characters created by the customers themselves.
The first piece of "Canta de Galo" was on display at Burel's booth at the International Interior Fair - Lifestyle Tokyo - Japan, in June 2013. Meanwhile it has already been at FIA - International Crafts Fair - Lisbon, companies and individuals spread all over the world.
At this moment "Galo" sings in Lisbon - Chiado (BurelFactory).
